Club Statement & Vision
The Pre-Medical association is a student organization at GCU composed of students interested in pursuing a career in the allied health professions, including allopathic and osteopathic medicine, as well as the public health sectors. We strive not only to be an intrinsic environment of academic success, but to ultimately make our members the best possible medical school applicants. The GCU Pre-Medical association's key goals include networking with professors and physicians, providing volunteer and work opportunities, improving student time management/organizational skills, resources for tackling the MCAT, and combating student burnout. Our association also organizes medical school visits, volunteering programs, special events and panels, and serves as a resource for connecting students together who seek a career in medicine. By encouraging the physicians of tomorrow to work together today, the society does its part to build a spirit of cooperation through something that is becoming ever more necessary in the medical profession. Through the association, students will also have the opportunity to learn from various experts in the medical field and admissions counselors to truly discover what it takes to serve as a healthcare provider. We hope, upon graduation, students will leave with not only an increased awareness of current events in healthcare but also the tools to excel in their individual fields.
